The Stewart Dow Memorial Award acknowledges and encourages individuals or groups who are passionate about the development of hydrogen and fuel cells. The UK Hydrogen Energy Association (HEA) and Hydrogen Scotland jointly support the award.
This is your opportunity to nominate an individual or group that has developed practical solutions or innovative products, successfully commercialised fuel cells in new applications, or united people in a collaborative manner.

Green hydrogen is set to play a significant role in future energy solutions, making it essential to engage with and learn from younger researchers. Our annual student poster competition offers future hydrogen experts the chance to meet and present their work to the wider Hydrogen Scotland community.
Many of our previous winners have gone on to make valuable contributions in various academic and professional fields.

Are you a young professional making waves in Scotland’s hydrogen industry? Or do you know someone who is?
This award seeks to formally recognise the exceptional contributions of a young professional whose innovation, dedication, and passion exemplify the emerging talent shaping the future of hydrogen in Scotland.
If you’re under 35 and contributing to the growth of the hydrogen sector, we want to hear from you!

“Hydrogen Scotland 2024 achieved record attendance, and I invite you to join us again (along with your new members and friends) at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on October 28th and 29th for Hydrogen Scotland 2025, which we hope will be even more valuable than last year.”
-Nigel Holmes, CEO at Hydrogen Scotland
