The Hydrogen Scotland Young Professional Award 2026 is now open for applications.
The Hydrogen Scotland Young Professional Award is an opportunity to celebrate the people who are helping to shape the future of Scotland’s hydrogen industry.
The award recognises the achievements, contributions and potential of the next generation of talent working across Scotland’s hydrogen sector. The winner will be announced and presented with their award at the Hydrogen Scotland 2026 Annual Conference, taking place on 6th October 2026 in Glasgow.
If you, a colleague or someone in your network is making a real impact in the hydrogen industry, we’d encourage you to share this opportunity and encourage them to apply.
Eligibility:
We’re looking for young professionals who are already making a positive contribution to the sector, whether through innovation, project development, research, policy, skills, collaboration or other areas of the hydrogen industry.
The award is open to individuals who:
Are under 30 years old
Have five years or less of experience in the hydrogen industry
Work for a start-up, SME or large organisation
Are making a positive contribution to the development of the hydrogen sector
The application process is anonymised, ensuring applications are assessed fairly based on the individual’s experience, achievements, contribution and potential, rather than their name or organisation.
Encourage your colleagues to apply
You may work with someone who is making an outstanding contribution to the sector but wouldn’t necessarily put themselves forward for an award. Please share this opportunity with colleagues and encourage eligible young professionals in your organisation or network to apply.
Whether they are developing new technologies, delivering projects, supporting the growth of the sector, contributing to policy or helping to build Scotland’s hydrogen community, we want to hear about the work they are doing.
