Fife, particularly Methil, has been at the forefront of the hydrogen revolution. The region has shown how locally produced green hydrogen can be stored and used to meet a local network’s supply and demand challenges. If we can make hydrogen at scale, store it and transport it to where it is needed, it could be a potent fuel for specific applications and hard-to-abate sectors.
