SUMMARY:HydroGlen and beyond
DESCRIPTION:HydroGlen is a £6.2 million green hydrogen project funded by the Scottish Government’s Just Transition Fund that will establish a self-sufficient\, net-zero carbon farming community in Aberdeenshire\, Scotland.\n\n\n\nAs part of the James Hutton Institute’s Climate-Positive Farming Initiative\, HydroGlen aims to provide a scalable and replicable hydrogen model for rural areas to transition from fuel poverty to renewable energy independence\, generating over 100% of the farm’s electricity\, heating\, and transport fuel needs through green hydrogen and renewable electricity. \n\n\n\nThis pilot project is expected to be completed by December 2025.  \n\n\n\nHear from Niamh Carr (HydroGlen Project Development Officer at the James Hutton Institute) and Alex Gauntt (CEO at Water to Water) about project updates\, the Climate Positive Farming Initiative & how the project fits into broader ambitions and learn what’s next- gain insight into Water to Water’s current and future projects beyond HydroGlen. \n\n\n\nLearn more and register here: https://bit.ly/4lrvVYf
